Why VectorCiteexists.

We're Digiocular, a senior web agency in Jaipur. We build websites for paying clients. By 2026 the question we kept hearing was the same: “will my page show up in ChatGPT? In Perplexity? In Google AI Overviews?”

We tried the existing tools. Surfer SEO, Clearscope, Frase, MarketMuse— all entered the market before answer engines existed. They're built around blue-link ranking. The AEO/GEO features they've bolted on are partial, the rubrics are opaque, and the pricing ($89-$200/mo, US dollars) made running them across a 50-client portfolio prohibitive.

So we built our own. The deal: if we can run it on Vercel Pro alone — zero marginal cost per audit — we can give the lead-magnet tier away free, and price the Pro tier in INR for the Indian market.

The engine

The Mirror Engine doesn't query ChatGPT or Perplexity to score your page. It replicates what they do under the hood — the retrieval ensemble (cosine + BM25 + authority + recency) every modern answer engine uses, combined with a 38-signal rubric drawn from peer-reviewed AEO/GEO literature:

  • The GEO paper from NeurIPS 2024 (Aggarwal et al.) — the 9 empirically-validated factors that move citation by 30-40%.
  • Google's published Search Quality Evaluator Guidelines — the EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust) framework.
  • Anthropic's published web-tool retrieval methodology (Claude docs).

Local embeddings via @huggingface/transformers (the bge-small-en-v1.5 model, MTEB top-15 quality at 33 MB). Wikidata for brand-entity grounding. DuckDuckGo HTML for SERP context. Every dependency open-source, every score explainable.

Honest stance

We don't guarantee citation. No tool can. AI engines change retrieval logic without notice. What we do guarantee: every signal in our rubric is independently measurable, every score is reproducible, every Fix Kit patch is ready to paste, and every cost is zero per audit.

If you find a signal that doesn't hold up under scrutiny — or a competitor doing something we're missing — tell us. The rubric is openly weighted and the source is open on GitHub.
