How to build your own

Five steps, in order. Each one gives machines another way to confirm who you are.

  1. Get two or three press mentions.

Wikidata editors need citations to accept that a brand is notable. Coverage in TechCrunch, the FT, Bloomberg or your sector's trade press all counts.

  2. Create a Wikidata item.

It's free. Cite the coverage from the first step, and use an account with a real edit history.

  3. Link your other identifiers.

Add Crunchbase, LinkedIn, GitHub and your X handle, plus an ISIN or LEI if you're a public company. Each identifier strengthens the entity.

  4. Start a Wikipedia article.

Reuse the Wikidata citations. AI engines weight Wikipedia presence heavily.

  5. Check it in the audit.

The page audit's E-E-A-T class checks for a Wikidata brand entity directly, so you can confirm yours is in place.
