PerplexityBot is the user-agent Perplexity's retrieval pipeline uses to fetch web pages it cites. Distinct from Perplexity-User which is the on-demand fetch when a user pastes a URL into a chat. Blocking PerplexityBot in robots.txt kills your eligibility for citation in Perplexity answers.
